Who We Are
The Georgia Job/Family Collaborative, formerly known as the Georgia Working Families Coalition, is made up of more than 30 local and statewide organizations, including labor, women’s, health-focused, and community groups. Founded in 2000 to expand access to family leave, the collaborative has successfully won improved access to unemployment insurance for women and low-wage workers. It is our goal to build support for public policies that strengthen communities by ensuring that working families can balance their responsibilities at home and on the job.
The Georgia Job/Family Collaborative is one of fourteen partners in the Family Values @ Work consortium, a national movement of grassroots state coalitions and policy experts fighting for paid time to care.
